The last month....boating, swim league, graduation, college tours, first job...oh, my!

We are trying to get in as much boating as possible before the end of June when our membership is over!
Claire with her "Little Rays" at the summer league swim meet. She had so much fun cheering them on and making Fat Heads for them (even though she wasn't able to swim with the team this year due to her knee injury. Of course she had to make a Fat Head for her bestie, Abigail, as well!
Claire and Abigail all dressed up and ready to go celebrate their senior friends at high school graduation!
We "forced" Claire to go on a few college tours last weekend. We walked around TCU (Texas Christian University), UNT (University of North Texas) and Texas Women's University. TCU is definitely in the running. On the way home, we stopped by Baylor University and walked around campus for a little while. Baylor is my favorite thus far but we shall see where God leads Claire...
Finally, Claire started her very first "real" job on June 4th! Had to capture a picture of her walking into her first job! Welcome to the real world and the joys of adulting!

Mother's Day

I got to spend Mother's day in Minnesota on the lake this year, the first time I have been with my mom for Mother's day in 17 years! It was such a wonderful trip! I got to spend so much time with my mom and sister, got to meet up with multiple friends, visited with my in-laws, and even got to see my cousin who was home from Costa Rica! We had so many laughs and made so many good memories! Claire even posted the sweetest post on her Instagram which made me so happy. The best part was when I got home on Mother's day evening, I got the best hug from my girl (I had told her that was all I wanted for Mother's day)! She also made me a beautiful vase holder of pictures in frames and got me a basket of goodies! I definitely felt very loved!

High school swim banquet- 10th grade

Claire had her high school banquet for swim the other night. It was fun to see all of the girls dressed up! Glad we got pictures with so many of her friends, many of which are seniors this year. Next year is going to be a different story, but hopefully she will continue to grow her friendships with the girls on the team and work on making new friendships with oncoming swimmers.

Houston....we have a problem!

On April 30, Claire was filiming a video for her US History class. She went to turn and her knee made a pop and she fell to the ground. After seeing an orthopedic doctor and getting an MRI, we discovered it was her knee cap that popped out of place and then relocated back into place. Praise God it wasn't torn ACL or meniscus! No surgery is needed. She will begin Physical Therapy on Monday and they are hopeful she can resume walking normally after 4 weeks and resume normal activities by 8 weeks. Claire has been a trooper and has handled all of this so well! It means many changes for her for this coming summer, but we are praying she will be healed enough to still be able to go to church camp and participate in most of the activities.
