Back to everyday life

A few more pictures taken before G-Ma and Grandpa left for home. Just found out they made it back home safely, praise God! This morning when Claire woke up the first thing she did was open the door to G-Ma and Grandpa's room to check on them and they were gone. We are so thankful for the time we did get to spend with them here.God has blessed us with many wonderful memories.  Amazingly, they both admitted that living down south wasn't too bad after all (even through the summertime)!

Fun with Grandpa and G-Ma!

Grandpa has been feeling so great these past few days. It is so wonderful to have our Dad/Grandpa back! Claire has been taking advantage of every moment she gets with him and keeps him busy all the time! It has now become routine in our house that after meals, Claire and Grandpa go to lay down for about 20 minutes. I don't know how much rest Grandpa gets, but I am sure he gets an ear full of conversation! Next week we may be losing our house guests since they hope to head back home for about 6 weeks. It will be an adjustment for us since Grandpa keeps the lawn mowed and cooks many of the meals while G-Ma (Claire's new name for Grandma) does the dishes and cleans house. Guess we might have to step it up a notch until they return!

Overcomer

We have had lots of ups and downs this year so far. It is comforting knowing that with God in our corner, we can overcome anything that comes our way. Despite the frustrations and the inability to understand, we have managed to pull together as a family and have some fun and crazy times together!

Making memories with family

We had so much fun while Shannon and Brandon were here. Of course we had to go to Orange Leaf, out to eat a few times, and we did lots of swimming. Most of the time was spent with Claire wrestling with Brandon and Claire doing Shannon's hair! We were able to get the family out to all get massages one day which was very relaxing. Good memories were made during the week! Thank you Shannon and Brandon for making it so much fun!
