Our trip to MN part two

We spent part of a day with Grandma and Grandpa Naustdal. Claire loved playing with Sadie and getting to share stories with Grandpa and Grandma.

We had to get this picture because we quickly realized Claire is now taller than Grandma Naustdal!

We got to meet Milo (the newest addition to the Streich family). Milo had just come out of the lake and decided sitting on Claire was the best choice! Claire got soaked!

We had fun doing some kayaking this year.

Much better when Milo is dry and sitting nicely!

 

Our trip to Minnesota part one

Claire and I got to go to MN for 9 days and we had the best time! We got to ride in my Dad's 68 Firebird, spent many hours on the pontoon and swimming in the lake, and made many memories hanging out together with family and friends. Feeling so blessed to have such an amazing family!

 

A little pool time

It is always a challenge getting good pictures of these two goof balls! Nice to have our evenings free to enjoy some family time in the pool.

 

Birthday celebration (finally)!

We finally got to celebrate Claire's birthday with her two longest friends. These three girls met in kindergarten and have stayed friends since then! We love having them all together and pray their friendship lasts into adulthood!

Karsen, Claire, and Addisyn...it was a struggle, but I convinced them to let me get a few photos! Then we went to Schlitterbahn Galveston Waterpark for a day and enjoyed hitting some new rides and being lazy in the lazy river! So thankful these two amazing young ladies are in Claire's life!

 

More volunteering fun at the animal shelter

Claire has absolutely loved spending time at the animal shelter. She loves to give the dogs their toys...

and treats!

She has really enjoyed spending time in the cat room. She does some cleaning, but mostly enjoys playing with the younger kittens.

Oh my goodness, Claire fell in love with this little guy the last time we were at the shelter. If Jeff wouldn't have our heads, we would have brought him home with us! Claire played with him in his kennel and when she went to the next kennel to play with another puppy, he started barking at her to bring her back to him!

When Claire picked him up, he snuggled right into her shoulder. It was so hard to say no to bringing him home!
