Back to routine

We had an amazing time up in Minnesota and wish we could have stayed longer. As you saw from the previous blog of pics, we kept plenty busy!
Now we are back into the swing of things at home. Claire is back into her routine and keeps very busy playing with her toys and telling Mommy and Daddy "no" by shaking her head. She is getting very good at letting us know what she wants and when she wants it! It is nice that Claire is able to communicate some with us, but it is also hard. She has been getting frustrated when we cannot understand what she wants and also gets upset with her limited abilities. When things are not going Claire's way, we hear about it! I guess it is all part of Claire developing her personality!
She is getting very good at walking now and sometimes even tries to run a little. Most often these attempts end up with Claire on her face, but she just gets back up and keeps going. Yesterday we had her in the pool for almost 2 hours. She went under the water a few times and really seemed to enjoy watching our neighbor girl, Haylee, swim. Claire had the most fun when Jeff and I would toss her into the air to each other. Our little girl is growing up!

Just wanted to share a few fun photos of our big girl. We continue to be amazed at how fast she is growing up. Right now we are in the phase of Claire seeking her independence as long as we are in sight. Since she is able to do more now but still unable to verbalize what she is wanting, we are also dealing with some mild temper tantrums and acting out. Claire likes to see what she can get away with. Guess it is just the beginning of her testing us! We are so excited to come up to MN soon and see everyone. It is hard to believe an entire year has gone by since we were up there and that many people have not seen Claire since she was 6 weeks old! Time sure does fly. Hopefully our vacation will go slowly!
