TBarM camp...final year as a camper part 1

Claire had the best time at camp this year! She even said it was her most favorite year of the 5 years she has gone to TBarM! So glad she was able to end it with the best year! Her cabin counselors were Savannah and Georgia and she loved them both! Claire did so many activities too...even though the picures don't show it all. She got to go pontooning, boating, tubing, jet skiing, knee boarding, swimming, zip lining, among so many other things! For her birthday, they get a gallon of ice cream for their cabin table covered in all kinds of toppings like gummy worms, chocolate syrup, marshmallows...you name it and it was probably on there! Their cabin finished off the whole gallon of ice cream this year! The theme nights were Back to the 50's, picture night with senior volleyball tournament (Claire's cabin too the win!), the Iron Man individual obstacle course race, Boot Scoot, and Alpha Omega night. So thankful for this amazing camp and how much Claire has grown in her faith by the counselors pouring into her! She is looking into volunteering there next summer for 4 weeks in work crew...help with set up and take down for theme nights, help around camp, and sit in on sessions with counselors to train to become a counselor the following year. We shall see where God leads her!

Father's Day and early Birthday celebration!

We got to celebrate Father's day and Claire's birthday early this year because we spent Father's day in the car driving Claire to TBarM camp for the week! Claire got Jeff some pretty funny gifts this year! A golf towel which Jeff got a huge kick out of! Then she got him a shirt that says "Awesome like my daughter" and some shorts that have her face on them and say #1 Dad! Jeff got lots of laughs!

Then we celebrated Claire's birthday. Her friend, Ann, surprised her earlier in the day by stopping over with a gift for her. In the evening, she opened the gifts she got from us. It was a wonderful day and I feel very blessed to have such an amazing young woman call me "mom"!

Finished Summer League swim with a big win!

Claire had a blast this season with her Stingray Summer League swim team! She improved so much in the few weeks she swam and loved staying after to help the 6 and under kiddos with their practices. At the team party, she teamed up with Abigail, Emily, and Ann to do a family and friend relay and their team name was the Mermaid Mafia, which explains the matching mermaid suits! Claire won the award for highest points for girl age 15 and up and also got the Stingray award for the season for her age group! She had helped make signs for the kids to use for the final meets. Her coach loved her sign that said "Swim fast, Coach Brian doesn't like to lose" and he told her that should be on a shirt. Well, Claire got to work and figured out how to put it on shirts for him and the other coaches for the final meet! It was a hit!
