Exploring at the park

We took Claire to the park and let her have free reign. She loved it! She ran all over and stopped many times to check out things in nature. It was so fun watching her explore and learn through hands-on activities. I loved it when Claire and Daddy would be quiet and try to sneak up on the squirrels! Claire would put her finger over her lips and say "shh" as she walked up to them.

We love the zoo!

We took Claire to the zoo last week. She had a blast. She is such a big girl now and has to walk the entire zoo. I think we got her to ride in her stroller for about 5 minutes in the 2 hours we were there! She loved the freedom to walk around on her own and had so much fun trying to find each animal. Daddy and I had fun watching our big girl explore her independence! One thing Claire did for the first time was ride on the carousel. She was pretty scared of it at first but we did manage to get a few smiles out of her!

Missing Nanny and Papa

We were so lucky to be able to spend 6 days with Nanny and Papa last week. Claire definitely became quickly attached to them both. She had so much fun playing with them. The morning they left, she woke up asking for Nanny. Today she is still asking where Papa and Nanny are. We miss them lots already but know we will be able to see them soon on skype. Here are just a few of the fun moments we were able to catch on camera!

My past week

I love the rocking chair I got from Nanny and Papa. It is the perfect size for me to easily get into and as you can see, I find some very comfortable positions!

I have been very interested in feeding myself over the past few weeks. I have to be in the mood to do it however. I can be kind of messy but I do a good job getting most of the food into my mouth!

Mommy has shown me how I can be like an airplane. We have fun playing this game and I like to go high into the air!

Alright...what is going on? I thought I lived in Texas! Daddy made me wear my winter coat, hat, and gloves when we went out because it was cold outside. The temperature was only in the 20's. I am glad it doesn't stay that cold for very long because I hate to wear my hat and gloves.

I love to go "shopping" with my purse and baby. We make trips around the living room and kitchen and make frequent stops at my kitchen to "buy" food.

Mommy's little helper

Claire is at the age when she wants to help with everything! So, today I took advantage of that. I put her to work dusting the house! As you can see, she seemed to really enjoy it. Hope it lasts!
