 Claire's first ponytail. Her super curly hair does not look very long but when pulled straight it almost goes to the middle of her back. We can easily put it into a ponytail now!

Enjoying the beautiful weather we have been blessed with this week. Before we know it, going outside will not be fun because it will be too hot.

 Having a snack at the zoo. No matter where we are or what time of day it is, Claire is always asking to have a snack. Guess we should be glad we have a good eater!

We went for a walk today and got pretty warm so I thought I would bring out the sprinkler. Claire had a blast going through it. This was the very first time she has gone through a sprinkler. It was a great way to cool off.

After we were done in the sprinkler, Claire wanted to get into the pool. The water is still pretty chilly but it sure felt good to get into the shallow part and just splash around. It was tough getting Claire out once she got in. I have a feeling we will have a fish on our hands this summer!

Claire's Zoo

Before I hear the collective sigh about another zoo video, I must explain. It has been several weeks since we have been to the zoo so I really wanted to take Claire. The weather was a perfect 75 degrees with no humidity. Last night I had told her that I wanted to have her bring her camera and take as many pictures as she wanted. She could take a picture of anything she would like. I left her no direction or limitations. The video is what our 2 year old sees when she goes to the zoo with daddy.

Fun with Mi-ma and Pa-pa

Claire had a very busy and fun day today. We got to visit Mi-ma and Pa-pa. Claire got spoiled by being the center of attention (like always when we go to visit them) and loved every single minute of it. She got to color, play finger puppets, and have a pillow fight! She also got to have some yummy blueberries. Claire has come to expect a snack every time she visits and Mi-ma always has something to give! Thank you for being such an important part of our lives. We are so blessed to have you as "grandparents" for Claire.

 This is what happens when Claire decides to wear a headband after having her hair in pigtails most of the day. It was a good thing we didn't have to run any errands and were able to stay home with this hairstyle!

 Claire is all about doing things herself lately so I put it to good use. She was super excited to bring in the empty garbage can. Too bad this excitement won't last!

After getting the garbage can in, we needed to water our garden. Of course, Claire wanted to fill the bucket by herself and when I brought it over to the garden, she took charge of making sure all of the plants were watered. She is a great helper and is so interested in joining in on any chore. It is wonderful to have help with sweeping, dusting, and watering.

A day full of play

It was such a beautiful day today, mid 70's with a small breeze. Claire and I spent most of our day together outside today. We watered the garden (our first attempt to grow some veggies!), played in her toy house, jumped on the trampoline, and went to the park. It is so much fun watching Claire outside. She is definitely an outdoor person. She loves to explore and is so curious about everything.
Potty training has been going wonderfully. No accidents now for a few days and Claire is to the point where she recognizes when she has to go and tells us. Of course we ask frequently still but she has been very good about telling us. Mommy and Daddy are so very happy to be done with diapers! We are very proud of our girl, who is growing up way too fast.

Slow Down Hoop

I was cleaning out my phone today and as I downloaded all the pictures and videos, I came across this one of her at K2. I remember we had so much fun that day because it was the first time she really decided to go explore on her own. Usually she stays pretty close by but on that day she wanted to run wild. The bouncing curls are just too funny.
