Having fun!

 Claire loves to run around the kitchen with her babies.

 Eating peanuts with Dad. Daddy taught Claire how to open them by herself.

 Busy painting while Mommy did dishes. Claire likes to do EVERYTHING by herself so Mommy was a bit worried  about painting, but minimal paint got on the floor!

Claire playing with her friend Elliot. It was fun to watch them play so well together and so much fun listening to their conversations! I am hoping Claire does this well with preschool in September.

Splash pad fun!

A friend of mine from work invited us over to her apartment to swim. They had an awesome splash pad for Claire. She was a bit reserved at first but after 30 minutes, she was running around and having a blast. We sat in chairs to dry off a bit before heading home and Claire had to copy exactly how Heather was sitting in her chair! So cute!

Making cookies

Claire and I decided to make some cookies today. Yes, Grandpa....Mommy has taught Claire to make them with oatmeal at a young age! So, since Claire is in the phase of doing everything herself, I was a bit nervous about this adventure. She did wonderful. I told her how many scoops of everything we needed and she checked with me before dumping them into the bowl. She loved to mix the dough but did not like to use the beaters (that was left for Mommy). She had so much fun watching the dough come together and then putting spoonfuls onto the pan. She also thought it was pretty cool to see how the cookies grew in the oven. Of course, she was most excited to eat them when they were done. To my surprise, she only ate 2 bites of one and then said she was done. Guess she didn't inherit her Mommy's sweet tooth, at least not yet!
