Fun with many friends!

Love this picture! We got to babysit baby Savannah on Wednesday and
we were lucky enough to get a picture with both her and Claire smiling!
Claire went to Vacation Bible School this past week and had a blast! Hard to believe she
is now old enough to be participating in this type of activity.
Jeff and I were crew leaders for Claire's group. Aren't they all so cute
at Kingdom Rock? It was so fun watching these kids learn something new every
night about God and watching them interact with all of the amazing music. The last
night they got to go on stage and show their parents what they learned by
singing a song and doing the motions to it. Super fun to be a part of this special week!
Our neighbor boy came over to play the other day. It was so interesting
listening to the conversations that these two kiddos had! Quite the
imagination!
Claire loves to bake...I mean she loves to mix the dough and then go on to
other activities! She leaves the baking part to Mom!

Tickled pink!

Claire was invited to a princess party yesterday for her friend Madison. The girls had a great time. When they arrived, they got to each pick out a princess gown to wear.
Next, they got their make-up done.
Then they got their nails painted.
They all gathered around the birthday princess before having"tea".
Finally they had their "tea" and cake before heading home.

Ringing the bell!

Yesterday was Dad's 28th day of radiation, the last day! When radiation treatment is finished, the patient gets to come out and ring the bell to let everyone know he/she has finished this part of the journey.

Dad, we are so very proud of you! You have been such an inspiration to our entire family. Words cannot even begin to express how amazing of a person you are. Watching you go through this experience every single day for the past almost 5 months has shown me just how strong you really are. I have always admired you Dad and I am so very thankful to have you in my life! I love you and you are the hero in our family!

Mom, we are also very proud of you! You have blown us out of the water with how well you have done through this entire thing so far. You are the glue that keeps our family going. Your positive attitude and strength during the difficult days has been so admirable. I know this has been a hard journey and we have some hard times ahead, but we will keep trucking along and sticking together. I love you Mom and look up to you for so many different reasons! You are one amazing person!

To all of our family and friends, we cannot thank you enough for all of your support and prayer over the past 5 months. It is because of God and the amazing people in our lives that Dad is doing so well and that our family is able to tackle this diagnosis. Thank you for praying constantly for Dad and our family, for calling often, and for all of the wonderful cards that kept coming. I know they meant the world to Mom and Dad and they helped them to keep going in their home away from home. We are so very blessed to have so many wonderful people in our lives!

Always on the go!

Claire loves to be a big helper. The other day she helped me give Presley
a bath. I let her scrub in the regular shampoo...
and then rinse the soap off. Presley does not like her bath, but Claire
sure enjoyed giving it to her!
Claire having fun playing her game "the cat in the hat".
Grandma and Grandpa having dessert at the kid table!
Claire and her Daddy reading a book before leaving for Summer Fun Days
at preschool.

painted it the way Mommy wanted!)
Looking like Mommy more every day!

Sharing a yummy vanilla shake with Grandpa, although I am pretty sure
Claire had more than her half!

Fourth of July

For the celebration of our country's independence, we had some friends over for some swimming fireworks. Everyone swam until they needed to refuel. Luckily, when we all get together, there is plenty of food. Once all the fingers were looking like raisins again we headed out front to watch some fireworks. In our little corner of the neighborhood there were plenty of explosions and oohs and awwws followed each burst of color. Before too long, Jason and I turned around and many of the kids had made their way back into the house either because it was too noisy or because it was way past their bedtime. You know it was a good celebration when everyone is trying to stay awake but just can't due to the exhaustion.
