Just being crazy with my Mommy!

We were able to catch Claire in a fantastic mood so we took advantage
and decided to be a little on the crazy side! Love this little girl!

Fun in the Texas sun!

When it is 100 degrees for days in a row, the only way to be outside is to be in the pool.
Thankfully, I forgot I had started the water to fill the pool the other day so we got nice
cold water running into it for about an hour. Oops! Won't be a nice water bill but
at least the pool was a bit cooler than bath water!
We got to spend Sunday with our good friends the Narskes. The kids had a blast
and the adults got to relax some too!

Here Jeff is working on teaching Claire how to dive. I think we have lots of
practicing to do.

A few fun photos of our week

We got so lucky when we found Belle. She is so patient with Claire and doesn't seem
to mind too much when Claire uses her as a dance partner!
Claire had her dentist appointment this past week. She impressed the dentist with
how clean her teeth are. Guess we are doing a good job with her brushing!
Jeff took a vacation day last week to use up some of his extra time. Looks like
he took full advantage of having the day off!
Nothing beats Orange Leaf on a 100+ degree Texas summer day!
I can't help it when the car just ends up in the parking lot!
 Our spaghetti faced girl!
Growing up way too fast! And getting more and more beautiful every day!
We are so very blessed to have this amazing child in our lives!

A great play date with wonderful friends!

On Saturday, Claire was able to have two of her best friends from kindergarten over for a fun-filled play date. She started by making cupcakes ahead of time, all by herself I might add! She did all of the measuring, cracked the eggs, and even used the beaters by herself. The only part I helped with was pouring the correct amount into each cupcake spot and getting them into and out of the oven. When Karsen arrived, we had pizza and then the girls went upstairs to play. Once Addisyn arrived, we went outside to enjoy the pool for a while. After swimming, the girls came in to do a craft. They made door hangers to take home. Then it was time for them to each decorate their own cupcake with frosting and sprinkles. Finally, the girls showed us what they remembered of the motions to the songs from VBS since they all went to VBS together. To my surprise, they remembered more of the motions than Jeff or I did! It was so much fun watching the three of them together giggling and having a great time. Before the girls went home, they all went up to Claire's room to work on a "secret handshake" that only they know about! And it begins...!

Front row at the Astros game!

Jeff was given front row seats to the Astros game last week. We got to sit in amazing seats
to watch a really good ball game.
You can't go to a ball game and not get a treat!
Like father, like daughter. Notice how they both have the same
facial expression?!
The kids were so excited to have their balls signed by Orbit!

Family day at Splashtown

We were able to go together as a family today to Splashtown. We had a blast doing the lazy river, the Big Kahuna tube ride, playing in the Treehouse, going down the triple tube slide, and playing in the wave pool. So thankful for this time together.
