Claire loved playing the polish golf game when we were at the lake this summer. Jeff decided he would make one for her to have at home. Of course, Claire had to help with ALL of the steps! It was fun to watch them working together to create something fun and to listen to Jeff teach her things along the way. What a wonderful Dad he is!

Happy Labor Day Y'all!
We were so lucky to be able to spend a few hours with Me-Maw and Paw-Paw today. What a true blessing to have these wonderful people in our lives. They have been with us since we moved to Houston and continue to be an active part in Claire's life.
When we go to visit, there is never a dull moment as you can see! I think Paw-Paw likes our
visits just so he can act like a kid again!
After a lovely visit, Claire just HAD to go to the park. When it is 98 degrees outside with a heat
index of 103 degrees, Mom was not excited to go to the park. By looking at the pictures, you can see
who won that battle! Thankfully after 20 minutes of sweating, I was able to convince Claire that
going home to jump in the pool was a wonderful idea!
Ahh...fun in the pool. Mommy is much happier now! Claire has discovered that Belle loves to have us spray water in the air so she can try to catch it! She will sit an bark until we spray her again!
Fun entertainment today watching these two play!
My crazy kiddo having to be all creative in finding ways to fill up her sprayer!
I had so much fun with Claire today. I am so thankful that we got to spend the day together. With school and evening activities, I sure do miss these special moments and am again reminded that time just goes by way too fast.
Holiday weekend get together with friends
Since we have no family down here, it is wonderful to have such great friends to spend time with.
Yesterday we got to enjoy the afternoon with amazing friends! God sure has blessed us with
great fill-in family!
Little Beakers with my friend Karsen (written by Claire)
We did a mold project.
I got to play with goo. It was slimy and fun to touch!
This is elephant toothpaste.
It is going to come up out of the flask soon...
and when it does, we notice it is warm to touch and very slimy!
This is the experiment called "It's a gas"
We had to measure correctly and shake the test tubes hard to create the gas.
I borrowed Karsens because my balloon did not go up.
At the end of Little Beakers, we had Dairy Queen. We both had peanut butter cookie dough mini blizzards. It was so good! A nice treat after such hard work being scientists!
