Our busy, crazy week!

This is what Claire put together for "tacky" day at school! I think she did a pretty creative job of coming up with some tacky things!
Spring picture day was the same day Claire got to bring a stuffed animal to school so of course we had to get a picture of her  and her giraffe "Allie" before school!
Claire got to bring one of her best friends with to gymnastics the other night. Her and Addisyn had so much fun playing around on all of the equipment!
A special treat last weekend...we had a make your own ice cream sundae bar. Claire had a blast putting together Mom and Dad's orders!
Claire is now in level 3 gymnastics and is the smallest and youngest in her group. She is definitely pushed beyond her comfort zone to try new things and has been amazing with not being afraid to try. We are so proud of her willingness to keep trying, even when the first and second time didn't go well. She is becoming more comfortable on the beam as you can see in the pictures. Sometimes Mom has to look away when she is practicing!

Claire with another of her best friends, Karsen, at Wednesday night Bible drill at church. We have so much fun teaching these kiddos about our amazing God!

Black Elementary playground

Sunday was such a beautiful day! We spent a few hours at Claire's elementary school playing on the playground. Claire had a blast showing us all of the different things she can do and made sure Daddy and I tried each and every activity! Ouch! I am not cut out to be doing the things this little girl can do!!!!
Here Claire is demonstrating how to do a flip while hanging onto the rings. I have to say I am proud that I could do this one!
Swinging from the monkey bars is something I can no longer do but Claire sure did a great job!
This bar is really fun. You sit on the bar like Claire is and then have someone spin you. Claire had so much fun when we spun her super fast! I am not sure how she didn't throw up! Finally, after about 4 huge spins, she asked us to stop! We were so blessed to have this family day together and Claire talked about how much fun she had until she fell asleep that night! I love this girl more than I ever thought possible!

Thankful for another week

Last Wednesday we had prayer and worship at church to kick off We Love Hou.
We spend the weeks leading up to Easter loving on our city. I look forward to being
involved in this great initiative. Claire and her friend Karsen are posing at the bottom of the
sign on the church!
Claire got this cool 3D puzzle from Grandma Rachel. She loves it and has it displayed in her bedroom.
Claire has been on a Jenga kick lately. We seem to play a lot of it around our house!
Claire could hardly wait to dig into the cookie cake we got for Valentine's day!
Boy is it some good stuff! Of course, she loved the frosting the most!

My adorable girl!

Someone woke up a happy, happy girl this morning!
For Valentine's Day at school Claire has to make a box for cards and treats. The box has to be made out of things you can recycle. We used some plastic bottle tops, some zip ties, and some crumpled newspaper to decorate her butterfly Valentine box!
A fun way to practice spelling words...roll out playdoh and have her make the letters to spell her words. Whatever works to help her remember how to spell them! We had a blast doing this as you can see from the next picture!

Making memories with Grandma

We got to go bowling last weekend. We had a great time and Claire scored her very best game!

 Claire got 90! Awesome job!
Claire was promoted to level 3 in gymnastics! She is now working on going from handstand into bridge, handstand to forward roll, and getting into a bridge from standing position. She loves gymnastics and has improved so much in the past few months! So fun seeing her so excited and she even loves to practice daily at home!

It's square dancing time!

Claire had her 1st grade square dancing show today at school. She was all excited to show off her moves and even got her cowgirl boots out for the event!
Claire's partner was Hudson. She said during practices, she only stepped on his feet a few times! Guess she gets her dance moves from her mommy!

Claire with her friends Addisyn, Kenzi, Karsen, and Cade.

It was so much fun watching these adorable kiddos show of what they have learned!
