Making Halloween cookies!

These two can always be found goofing off in some way! A great way to start the day!

 Claire wanted to make Halloween cookies today. She did almost all of it herself, except for a little bit of the rolling of the dough.

 Oops...Mom caught me sneaking a bit of dough!

 It wouldn't be Claire if there wasn't a silly picture of some sort! We are cherishing every single moment we get with our little girl. Before we know it, she won't want to hang out with us any longer...

Best lunch dates ever!

Jeff and I were both able to meet Claire for her lunch at school on Friday. We had a fun time telling jokes and laughing. A great way to spend part of the day! We love this girl so much more than we ever thought was possible!

Field day at Black Elementary!

Jeff and I were both able to attend Claire's 2nd grade Field Day. She qualified as one of the top 4 fastest runners in her class and got to do a relay race where her team came in 2nd place!

 The kids had to toss the ring onto the chair leg. It was very hard to do!

 Here, they had to balance an egg on a wooden spoon. Claire did awesome at this and never dropped the egg!

 The kids had to dribble a ball in and out of the cones. This was pretty difficult for many of the children. Claire did surprisingly well considering she doesn't have a basketball at home to practice with! Feeling so very blessed to have such a beautiful daughter and to get to enjoy some of her school activities before heading back to work on Monday!

Making sun catchers for the backyard

Claire had so much fun painting her sun catchers. She had wanted to buy a craft with her own money and found this one at the store on clearance (bargain shopper like her Mommy!). 

So pretty to look at from our kitchen window! Such a fun project!

Claire's first swim meet!

Yesterday, Claire swam in her very first swim meet. She started swim team a month ago and has practice 3 nights per week. She loves it and enjoys wearing her flippers during practice the most! Jeff and I were very impressed with her bravery. After just a bit of hesitation, she went on deck and found out where she needed to be. It was very overwhelming, even for Mom and Dad! Claire swam in 5 events and did super in them all. We are so very proud of our little fish! Now if only we could get her to stop growing up so fast...!
