Claire has become good friends with Rayln this year. They are in the same homeroom class and Rayln lives in our neighborhood. She came over to play and swim yesterday and the girls had so much fun! So thankful for wonderful friendships and that the pool is getting warm enough to swim! Love this time of year!

A great dinner with MeMaw and PawPaw!
Since MeMaw and PawPaw have moved to north Texas, we haven't been able to do our monthly visits. This weekend they made a trip back here and we were lucky enough to get to see them for a short dinner. Claire was so excited to spend some time with them and she made each of them a special card!
They were so thoughtful and got Claire a beautiful necklace with the letter "C" on it for an early birthday gift!
Claire loving the attention from her adoptive grandparents!
We are so very blessed to have these two amazing people in our lives. Distance will decrease our visits, but these two people will forever be a part of our family! We love you MeMaw and PawPaw!

A great day to celebrate our risen Lord!
All dressed up! A few fun pictures on our way to church this morning.
Our church offered a cut photo booth for a family picture.
They also had an Easter egg hunt after church. Claire had lots of fun collecting almost an entire basket full of eggs!
Happy Easter! Thank you Jesus!
This morning while I was making breakfast, Claire drew this out back. I love her heart for the Lord!
We started the day with our traditional egg hunt. The Easter Bunny leaves one clue with exercises she has to do before finding the next egg containing the next clue. Claire has come to expect this yearly so I sure hope the bunny doesn't disappoint! Her first clue was located by the garden hose.
She found one in the bathroom sink.
After going to her bedroom, into the dog food, into the pantry, and a few other places, Claire had all her clues lined up.
This year the bunny left her basket in the shoe bench! Claire was super happy with the stuff she got this year.

Coloring Easter eggs
After battling fever for 3 days, our kiddo was finally up to coloring eggs today. It was so wonderful to see her off the couch and smiling! God is good! Coloring eggs takes lots of planning and Claire was right on it! It was super important to read all of the directions. As her tablets were dissolving in the vinegar, she was using a marking wax to write on some of her eggs.
After waiting patiently for what felt like forever, it was finally time to add the water.
This year Claire decided to drop an egg into each color and do mostly solid eggs. She set a timer for 5 minutes.
This is her finished pink egg. She quickly learned that the longer she waited, the darker the egg became.
Mom talked her into doing at least one multi-colored egg
Here we have the finished eggs. Feeling so thankful for so many reasons this Easter season!

Building a diving block
Claire has been doing so great on swim team and really loves practice. One area that Claire needs work on is learning how to dive off the dive block. So Jeff decided he would make her one for our pool to work with her on diving this summer. Claire made sure she was right in there to help him!
All finished and ready to be put to use!
Swimmer, take your mark...
and...
go!
After practicing a few dives, she got to do some fun jumps! I love this mid-air picture and the excitement on her face! Hopefully by the end of summer, she will be excellent in her diving skills!
