Our visit with MeMaw and PawPaw

We were able to sneak away for a weekend and visit MeMaw and PawPaw. We had a wonderful time checking out the Caldwell Zoo and the Children's museum. Claire got to help MeMaw feed a giraffe for the first time in her life! We are so thankful to have these two amazing people in our lives. Even though they live 3 hours away now, we still see them every few months. They will always be very special to us, no matter how far away they move! Thank you for a wonderful weekend full of great memories!

First swim meet of the season!

Claire had her first swim meet of the season today and rocked it! She had to swim in 6 events and one of them was a 100 yard backstroke. She has never competed in a 100 yard event before and she did great! She came in under 2 minutes which made even her proud because she thought it would take close to 3 minutes. Claire and her two best swim buddies, Addison Vasquez and Addie Hicks. So fun to watch their friendships grow as they spend more time together! We look forward to a great swim season and watching Claire improve on her times with practice.

Six Flags Fiesta Texas

We had a great weekend last weekend at Six Flags Fiesta Texas! Claire brought one of her friends and it was so fun watching them together. Claire was unsure if she wanted to do any of the big roller coasters and ended up passing on them this time but she did go on some rides that I was pretty shocked she tried. We look forward to returning in a few months again (since a season pass was cheaper than tickets for 2 days) and hopefully Claire will brave some of the bigger stuff!
