First day of 4th grade!

Claire started 4th grade today! She was super excited to get back to school! Her teachers are Ms. Pena and Ms. Adolph. This morning she was ready to head out the door before we could even get our shoes on!

Of course we had to throw in a few goofy ones, because that is just our
Claire!

Claire and Addisyn

Claire got to have her friend Addisyn over for a day of fun before school starts. Addisyn moved and won't be going to Claire's school anymore so we wanted to get them together one more time before school begins. Super cute in their matching swim suits!
These two are obsessed with making slime! Thankfully they have a decent recipe and the slime actually turns out pretty good! They have made every color of the rainbow I believe!

Our Roadside America road trip!

Brandon came up with a competition for our family. Our three families were challenged to see who could get the most selfies of things listed on the Roadside America app by Thanksgiving day. Well, Jeff does not take a challenge lightly and planned a 4 day trip around Texas to hit 185 spots! We traveled to San Antonio, Austin, Fort Worth, and Dallas to accomplish this task and ended the trip by surprising Claire with a stay at Great Wolf Lodge! She was such a trooper on this trip that took us 1200 miles to complete. I have to say, as crazy as it sounds, we have had a lot of fun and this will be one road trip we will talk about for years to come! How many people can say they have seen a life size Igloo cooler?
We got to see the Fetus Monument....
the Alamo and the Line in the Sand (so we snuck in a little history lesson for Claire).
We stopped to see a giant panther and let Claire play at the park for a few minutes before running off to our next spot.
This one is called the Essential Magnificent Stick Your Head Here Photo...weird title but the statue was made out of all different colored pieces of glass and was actually pretty cool.
 Giant Olmec Head replica
The Graffiti Wall Park...this was super cool to see, even though we only stayed for 5 seconds because we were illegally parked!
One of the weirdest ones we saw...Giant Sofa and Couch Potatoes
Claire was super pumped for this one...Donuts Larger Than Your Head. Unfortunately, we each took one bite and had to throw it away, it was disgusting!
Dealey Plaza (another history lesson thrown in to the road trip!)
30 Foot Tall Eyeball...bet you can't say you have seen that before!
Finally, another of Claire's favorites...World's Largest Patio Chair.
