Thankfully it is pool time!

Claire has found that if she sprays herself down first with the garden hose, the pool doesn't feel quite as cold when she jumps in!

I love the facial expressions she makes as she is playing in the pool! Not a care in the world!
We had to cave on Friday and have some friends over. The kids kept their distance from each other but still played lots of games in the pool!

To end the weekend, Claire had her first Corona haircut! We ended up cutting off almost 2 inches!
Mom didn't to too bad of a job and thankfully Claire likes it! It just took WAY longer than at the salon!

A few activities in our down time during the quarantine

Gotta pass the time somehow...with motorcycle rides,
 cup stacking challenges,
loving on her dogs in "Claire's Doggy Daycare",
family puzzle time (excuse the crazy facial expression and hairdo!),
playing with a crazy remote control car,
and trying out a little tennis!
Claire has expressed interest in learning to play tennis so Jeff has been taking her to the courts to teach her the basics. We will see where this leads come fall...

Nature trail hike

Last Friday we found a nature trail to explore. We brought our camera and binoculars with the plan to take photos of birds. It turned out Claire was way more interested in capturing pictures of the different flowers, plants, and berries along the path!

The following are pictures by Claire:

She worked super hard to capture the orange butterfly in this photo and finally got a good shot!

Claire loved this tree in the middle of nothing! She said it reminded her of Madagascar. Such a fun day exploring all of God's natural creation!

A little yard work...sneaking in some measuring skills along the way!

Jeff had a little project in the yard to do so we put Claire to work with him! She learned about digging a trench,
 how to measure for depth,
and how to trap a sprinkler to cap it off! Jeff tells her he needs her to hold it up when he turns it on so he knows where it is! She was more than happy to take on this job!
Have to give the girl some credit...she didn't let go  ever, even when she was getting soaked!

Then she got some lessons in conduit construction.

Finally, it was time to fill in the hold! Strong work kiddo!

So much baking!!!

Claire has loved being home this past month. She gets her school work done in the morning so she has the afternoon to do "fun" things. She has really gotten to be an amazing baker! I am not even allowed in the kitchen anymore! Good thing I have to go back into the hospital for work before I become diabetic! Claire has made snickerdoodle cookies...
Cupcakes from scratch along with fancy frostings...

 uncle Scott's famous oreo cake...
peanut butter balls coated in white chocolate (our new favorite dessert!)...
and even fruit pizza!
