Mud Girl mud run 2021!

Claire and I, along with a few friends, did the Mud Girl mud run today. It was a 3 mile obstacle course in the mud! We had a blast and cannot wait for the photos to come out from the run. Of course we couldn't take our phones with to get pictures of the actual obstacles but there were staff taking pictures so I will post those when they are available. For now, you get mostly pictures of us pre-run and post-run with minimal mud! The final obstacle was a huge slide that dropped you into a big pool at the bottom which washed most of the mud off. I am so proud of Claire...she made it with flying colors and this was our first obstacle course and first 5K that we have ever done. I have a feeling it will become a yearly tradition for us!

Exercise egg hunt

Yesterday we got together with good friends to color Easter eggs and hang out! It was wonderful to see the Hodges family...we haven't seen them since before Covid started over a year ago!

After church this morning Claire had her exercise egg hunt (which she has come to expect each Easter morning). Each clue comes with a set of exercises she has to do first before going to find her next egg. She loves is and it is a great way for her to get some of her energy out!

In the end, all of the exercises were worth it! Claire enjoyed her gifts from the bunny...a fun beach towel, some highlighters she has been eying for a while along with a set of pens, some peeps, and some sour gummies.
With some much needed down time today, Claire was able to study for her test tomorrow and complete her very first cross-stitch project (with minimal help from Mom)!

Happy Easter! He is risen indeed!

Got the family up extra early today to make it to the 7am outdoor sunrise service at our church. Then we volunteered with the kindergarten group and came home to play games, cook a simple lunch which included Jeff and Claire's famous mashed potatoes, spent some time playing outside, and watched the movie The Life of Jesus. It was a wonderful day and we feel very blessed! Feeling extremely grateful for the sacrifice Jesus made for us!
