Black light mini golf

We all went out to enjoy some mini golf yesterday. It was a very fun course with some great decorations and challenging shots!

Interactive zoo with Grandma Rachel

Claire, Grandma, and I got to spend the morning at the Houston Interactive Zoo and Aquarium. We had a fun time touching the animals and feeding them. Grandma even got to pet a shark!

Grandma Rachel and Bob drove down to spend spring break week with our family! We had such a great time and many laughs! Lots of games were played...

Claire was not into me taking photos at this moment, as you can see!

The weather was perfect all week and we spent lots of time outside taking the dogs for many walks and enjoying the beautiful temperatures!

 

Crazy pogo stick girl!

What's a girl to do on a beautiful afternoon during spring break? She needs to practice her pogo stick skills with her hair down of course!

 

Edible animal cell model made by Claire

Claire had to make an edible animal cell model for school. She chose to use pizza to demonstrate all the parts of the animal cell. First we displayed it on paper to be sure everything fit and was the right size. 

Next, Claire had to spread out the "cell membrane", aka the pizza sauce.

Here Claire is placing her "nucleus, endoplasmic reticulum, and ribosomes", aka ham with mushroom on top, red peppers, and olives.

When it was all complete, she created signs to name each part of the cell with a description of what each part does. She did a great job!

 

Claire has straight hair!!!

Claire had a sleepover last night and the girls thought it would be fun to straighten Claire's hair! Oh my goodness, what a change!

After doing Claire's hair, Claire helped the other two turn their straight hair curly!

It was a fun evening for Abigail, Claire, and Caroline!

This morning Claire kept her hair straight for church! She hasn't had straight hair since she was an infant!

 

Ellie comes to visit!

We had such a great time hosting Ellie and her friend Mal for their spring break! They took the lead in our church kindergarten class...

Claire got some free rides...

We went to visit Sam Houston University again...

Much time was spent in the hot tub...

Jeff and Ellie duked it out in cribbage (they are both very competitive!)

Ellie got to go prom dress shopping twice. This was her favorite but it needed lots of altering.

Most of the down time was spent with the girls hanging out by the pool and tanning! So thankful to get to spend this time with my amazing niece!
