Summer League Meet #1 in the books!

It was a great start to the summer league swim meets! Claire dropped time in all her events and made Ponderosa times in both back and fly! She took off the needed 2 seconds on her backstroke to make it to Ponderosa! She was determined and worked hard to accomplish her goal! 

Annalee, Abigail, Addie, and Claire had fun hanging in their own tent this year!

We were blessed to have Papado come watch Claire swim! Always a pleasure to have him spend time with us!

Wonderful Mother's day!

We had a great Mother's day this year! We went to the park to play with Casen, then fed the turtles in the pond, and spent all afternoon in the pool. Only a few red spots on each of us at the end of the day so we did pretty good with the sunscreen! We tried to get a nice picture of the three of us in the pool. As you can see, it wasn't easy!

Finally, we got a good one!

My precious daughter spoiled me and before bed presented me with a huge hand-made card with the most amazing message inside that I will cherish forever (and pull out to remind her on the tough days that she does love me!). I am so blessed to be Claire's mom and I look forward to our relationship growing even more in the coming years!

 

Summer League swim team has begun!

Claire is swimming for the Spring Cypress Stingrays again this summer and the time trial meet was Saturday. So fun to be back in this environment where Claire gets a chance to shine. Her goal is to make Ponderosa times in all the events!

The Narr family visit

Dana, Jesse, and Casen came to visit the past 5 days and we had a blast! On Thursday, we went to the Houston Interactive Zoo and Aquarium and Casen quickly attached to "Texas" (my new nickname I guess!)...we had so much fun exploring, feeding, and petting different animals!

 Once Claire was able to be home with Casen, "Texas" quickly took the back seat. Claire had a blast playing with Casen and Dana and Jesse got a nice break to relax! Lots of time was spent in the pool over the weekend....

we took them to eat at our favorite Tex-Mex restaurant, Gringos, which was a big hit!

We had to dig, but were able to find some toys for them to play with...

and Claire taught Casen how to bake and decorate cupcakes!

Always important to read some books...

and be silly too!

We all had a great time and look forward to another visit real soon with the Narr family! So thankful for wonderful friends in our lives!
