Tejas Rodeo

After an 8 hour outdoor swim meet, we headed to Bulverde to go to the Tejas Rodeo. We had lots of fun!

Matagorda Beach with Owen and Andrew

We had a great day at Matagorda Beach on Thursday. We swam for a little while, until Owen and Andrew saw two small sharks down the beach!

Once we saw this shark on the shore, we decided to stay out of the water. A person near us was fishing and caught a small hammerhead shark and said they saw 6 more small sharks swimming near them! Yikes!
Claire resorted to hunting for shells....
while the boys had fun catching a crab!
They also played games in and out of the water before calling it a day!

Owen and Andrew come to visit!

We got to enjoy this past week with Owen and his friend Andrew. We kept the boys very busy! Owen was curious what it felt like to get a fire ant bite so we hooked him up! He had about 30 on his foot before he went running to the pool. He said they didn't hurt that bad but wasn't willing to do the "1 Minute Fire Ant Challenge" Uncle Jeff offered him! Glad he decided to pass on that one! He is going home with about 20 fire ant bites on his foot...

They spent lots of time in the pool this week.

It didn't take long for Owen and Claire to act like siblings....they were constantly picking on each other!

Claire got the boys to work on some line dance moves!
We did Spy Alley at Escape Now and got out with 16 minutes to spare!

Another summer league swim meet in the books!

Got to capture some fun action shots of Claire working her hardest at the swim meet! Love the determination in her face as she pushes herself to do her very best! She cut time in all of her events!

The girls got to enjoy some card games with Owen and Andrew between events.
Don't mind the police officer in the background being a photo bomb!

TBarM Camp 2023

Claire had an amazing time at camp this year! She had no injuries and was able to participate in ALL of the activities! She loved tubing and even got to go wake boarding for the first time (and got up on her first try!). She had wonderful cabin counselors who described her as steadfast and reliable. Ella had Claire in her small group Bible study and talked a lot about how easy Claire was to talk to and how down to earth she is. She also talked about how she watched Claire grow excited in her faith and relationship with Jesus this week! It made this momma very proud to hear!

Claire's cabin mates!

This was the first year the girls got to do the Iron Race...an individual obstacle course over 1.5 miles. Claire and Abigail were brave enough to tackle it and both said it was super hard and almost passed out at the end. I am proud of them for facing the challenge and completing it!
Love this picture! You can just feel the excitement coming off the girls!

Boot Scoot night! The girls all looked great decked out for the Boot Scoot dance!

Alpha/Omega night is one of Claire's favorite activities! Camp is divided in half and they face each other in competitions! Alpha won again this year! Go red!
