9th grade at CyFair High School....Go Bobcats! BFND!

Sunday Claire let me take her to the school for a few pictures...

The moto is BFND...Bobcat Fight Never Dies. I have a feeling we will be hearing that a lot over the next 4 years!

Just like that we have a high schooler. This momma isn't ready for this chapter but I guess there is no turning back. I am working hard at embracing every single day because before I blink, they will be gone.

Of course we had to get the yearly goofy picture! Hope she allows this to continue until college!

All grown up and ready to face this next chapter! We are so proud of the young woman you are becoming and we look forward to seeing what God has planned for you this year! 

 

A final boat outing before the beginning of High School!

Last Saturday we went with the Fink family boating. We got the double decker this time and had a great afternoon out on the lake! The girls enjoyed going down the water slide.

they tried to go tubing with all three of them: Abigail, Emily, and Claire. It got pretty bumpy and they were banging into each other so they decided to limit it to two at a time.

Jeff, Claire, and I all took our turn jumping off the top deck into the lake! It was kind of scary but very fun all at the same time!

Then the girls got the big idea to try to stand on the tube while moving! Claire was able to get fully up...

but that only lasted a few seconds and she began to tip....

and down she goes! It was such a fun way to spend our last weekend before life gets crazy again!

 

Ready or not....this is really happening!

Claire had high school orientation on Monday night. The school is huge...1/4 mile walk from one end to the other down the straight hallway! It was a bit overwhelming to say the least. Guess we better buckle up for the ride! Excited to see what God has planned for Claire in this next chapter of her life! Prayers are appreciated!

Claire, Abigail, Caroline, and Annalee...we got to watch Annalee cheer during the "Meet the Bobcats" event following orientation!

 

Swimming across Lake Minnebelle!

The girls conquered the challenge of swimming across Lake Minnebelle on Saturday morning. It was a chilly 60 degrees and they took on the challenge like champs. They swam 1.09 miles in 39 minutes and were both pretty proud of themselves when they reached the other side! What a cool accomplishment!

 

MN trip with friends #1

We had the best time in MN this trip! Claire brought her best friend, Abigail, along and we also brought our great friends Lisa and Christine with. They have been asking to come to MN with me for over 8 years, so we finally made it happen! We did shopping at Mall of America, went to visit Jeff's mom's gravesite, went to Mom's farm house to show them where I grew up, and spent time with family and friends. There was lots of golf cart riding, pontoon riding, smore making, and too much time to count spent on the water tubing, waterskiing, and kneeboarding. Christine and Lisa both loved the "water bike" (jet ski) the most! We were blessed with very nice weather and wonderful company. So thankful to have all of these amazing people in my life!
