Claire gets baptized today!

Today the Holy Spirit spoke to Claire and moved her to get baptized after church. This was such a special moment for us and we are so proud of Claire's decision to follow the guidance of the Spirit! She said it has been on her heart for a while and today she really felt called. So thankful she is able to feel the power of the Spirit in her and that she acted on the calling!

 

Water sports on Lake Conroe

Yesterday we spent all day at the lake. The girls got in some knee boarding, tubing, water skiing, and even tried surfing behind the boat! 

After a few tries, Claire was able to let go of the rope and ride the waves for a bit!

They even convinced Jeff and I to try it out! To my surprise it was easy to get up and going, just not so easy getting the surf board where I wanted it to go! I ended up taking in some lake water a few times!

Jeff and I got a chance to enjoy some water skiing before the lake got too choppy. It is so wonderful to be able to enjoy lake time again! We both have missed the Minnesota lakes so much since moving here!

 

A little water volleyball anyone?

We had the Fink family over last night for some pizza and pool time. The girls had fun trying to get Abigail off the pretzel float!

Before we knew it, the girls and the two guys had a game of water volleyball going! It was fun to watch and even be a part of the action for some of it!

With the first week of high school under our belts, we thought it would be fun to begin Labor Day weekend on the lake. The kids had a blast tubing because the lake was very choppy! Lots of air time!

We managed to find one calm inlet where we could just float for a bit before getting more tubing time in!

Michelle and I even went tubing! It was an adventure!

I was also able to convince Jeff to get some tubing time in with Claire while I drove the boat. As you can see in the pictures, I am pretty sure he had a fun time!

We ended our day with a beautiful sunset. So thankful for another great day on the lake with wonderful company!
