This was the first year Claire wanted a mum. Such a crazy tradition in Texas! She rocked it and had so much fun wearing it all day at school Friday!

 

Homecoming parade

Since Claire was a returning varsity swimmer, she got to participate in the Homecoming parade this year on the aquatics float. She had so much fun!

 

Old folk trying to be kids again!

Jeff and I had Thursday off so we took advantage of the gorgeous day and hit the lake to go water skiing and wake surfing. The lake was like glass so skiing was a blast! We had such a great morning and skied more than we have in years! We both woke up sore the next day, but it was worth every second! Good feeling knowing we still got it at our old age!

Fleet Intrasquad meet

Claire had her first swim meet of the season last weekend. She swam well and is definitely ready to work hard and drop some time this season! Excited to see how she will grow as the season progresses!

 

Anne Wilson concert

I convinced Jeff to join me at the Anne Wilson concert in Houston last weekend. I have been trying to get him to listen to her music for months. She is a Christian singer with a country twist and I have really enjoyed her messages in her music. I got him to go with me and turns out, someone else in our house is now listening to Anne Wilson daily!

 

Norway, part 1

Norway...the most beautiful place I have ever been! We were blessed to spend almost 3 weeks in this gorgeous country and what a wonderful vacation we had. After 9 months of planning, I have to say, Jeff and I did a pretty great job. We followed our itinerary almost to a T and did all but two of the things on our list. From lots of hiking, to white water rafting, bike riding, zip lining, train riding, ferry cruising, kayaking, glacier seeking, mountain karting, and lots of driving, we covered a big chunk of the country. Feeling so humbled and blessed to have had the opportunity to create so many wonderful family memories over these past 3 weeks together! God is so good!
