High school Regions swim meet!

Posted last night! These two have worked hard to make it to regions for their district!
Claire swam the 200 freestyle and Abigail swam the 100 fly.
Rare occasion...Claire came into the stands to talk to us AND let us get a picture! What is happening?!
She even let us get a picture with her in front of the UIL sign!

Of course we had to get a few of Claire and Abigail too!

High school District swim meet

Claire amazed us with her 200 freestyle at the high school district swim meet. She was seeded 7th and ended up coming in 4th! This got her a ticket into Regions next week! Her coaches were so excited, they were jumping up and down when she got over to them!

Claire walking up to her coach to receive her ribbon!

So proud of the effort we saw in this race! She rocked it and took off over 3 seconds from her best time!
Claire placed 7th in her 500 freestyle, missing 6th place by less than a second. We are very proud of the effort she showed in this race as well!

Getting ready for the 400 freestyle relay...Claire's group was made up of Peanut, Alyssa, Abigail, and Claire. These four good friends got to end the season swimming a relay together and pulled out 4th place!
This is a classic move Claire does before swimming...she has to jump around and stretch, and then she pushes her goggles onto her face to they are nice a snug! She has done this ever since she began swim...glad I finally got to capture it in a picture!
Watching intently to get the fastest start she can once her partner touches the wall
Then she did a great job cheering for her teammates to encourage them to swim faster!
Here is the relay team...four great friends ending the season strong!

Do you wanna build a snowman?

When you wake up and this is what the backyard looks like in Texas....you just cannot stay indoors!
First, you must take many selfies...

next, you just have to lay down in the white, fluffy stuff and make the perfect snow angel...

and then you just have to do a few cartwheels!

Also a must is just throwing snow into the air and watching it fall...
and of course, building a snowman! The snow was very soft and not sticky. This made our snowman making a challenge but we did the best we could!

Here is the finished product!

Christmas at home

After getting home from Mexico, we did our family Christmas. Claire made her traditional birthday cake for Jesus and we has some appetizers while we opened gifts.

Claire was very happy with all of her gifts! We are overly blessed!

Christmas in Mexico part 1

We were blessed to get to spend Christmas in Riviera Maya, Mexico with our family this year. The only ones missing were Jeff and Bob. We had a great trip and many wonderful memories were made! Thank you Grandma for this opportunity to all be together! Claire had a blast with her cousins. It is so fun watching them...they act like they see each other every day (instead of maybe twice a year) and pick up right where they left off when they were last together!
