Sweet 16 for Claire (a day early)
We had to take Claire to TBarM Camp today so we surprised her and celebrated her big 16th birthday this morning. We got her favorite donuts from Daily Donut and watched her open her gifts. She was so surprised and appreciative, it warmed my heart. The best part was the super awesome hug I got before we headed off to church. Claire has amazed me so much over this past 16 years. She has such a huge heart, such determination and drive (when she chooses to use it), and has made both Jeff and I so very proud to call her our daughter! I cannot wait to see where God is going to lead her this coming year! I know God has huge plans for her and will provide the path! Tomorrow, the entire camp will be singing her happy birthday while her cabin has to stand on the table in the dining hall and then her cabin gets an ice cream cake to share, which I am sure will taste amazing in these warm temperatures!
Boating with Karsen
Claire took her good friend Karsen boating with us yesterday. They have been friends since kindergarten and it was so fun to see them having a blast together! The facial expressions were just too good to not post!
Graduation party and beach house get away!
Claire got to spend a few days at a beach house last week with friends...Abigail, Alyssa, and Ashley. She had a blast and came home pretty red, despite putting on sunscreen.
Lots of great memories were made and she was very glad she went!

The last month....boating, swim league, graduation, college tours, first job...oh, my!
We are trying to get in as much boating as possible before the end of June when our membership is over!
Claire with her "Little Rays" at the summer league swim meet. She had so much fun cheering them on and making Fat Heads for them (even though she wasn't able to swim with the team this year due to her knee injury. Of course she had to make a Fat Head for her bestie, Abigail, as well!
Claire and Abigail all dressed up and ready to go celebrate their senior friends at high school graduation!
We "forced" Claire to go on a few college tours last weekend. We walked around TCU (Texas Christian University), UNT (University of North Texas) and Texas Women's University. TCU is definitely in the running. On the way home, we stopped by Baylor University and walked around campus for a little while. Baylor is my favorite thus far but we shall see where God leads Claire...
Finally, Claire started her very first "real" job on June 4th! Had to capture a picture of her walking into her first job! Welcome to the real world and the joys of adulting!
