Sidewalk chalk and bubble blowing on a beautiful day!

The weather the other day was just too nice to be indoors. We made the most of it and had some fun outside putting our artistic talents to use. G-Ma made a shark, a turtle, and a "person" (if you can call it that!). Claire made some purses, lightbulbs, and gumballs. Mom made an apple tree, flowers, and a rainbow. After we had our pictures made, we went from picture to picture to get educated by Claire on each item. Fun to listen to her imagination go wild!

After drawing, we went out back to blow bubbles. We found out that Belle loves to burst the bubbles in her mouth! We had fun watching Belle chase the bubbles and try to catch them!

Making snow in Texas!

We had gotten a snow making kit last year from G-Ma and Snugglebunny and have finally gotten to use it.
First we had to measure the "snow"
 Then add water..
pour the water in quickly and..
 ta-da, we have "snow"!

Claire's hair donation

Ever since Claire watched her cousin Ellie donate her hair, she has been asking to do the same thing to help a little girl who has lost her hair due to cancer. Today we finally gave in and let her donate her hair. Before donation...
they put her hair into 4 ponies and measured to be sure each was at least 8 inches long.
 The first cut...
 here it is!
And here she is after donating her hair.
final result. Claire loves her short hair and runs all over just letting her hair flow.
So thankful she likes it.

As hard as it was to watch our daughter's beautiful hair be cut off, we are so proud of her for making this donation. Her new hair cut is quite a change but I think we will adjust just fine. So glad G-Ma could be there to watch this special moment!

Fun times with G-Ma!

Claire has been learning how to play cards. She has the best teacher!
It is so fun watching Claire and Mom spend time together. Claire
has become a really good card player so Daddy better watch out!

It was time to make a gingerbread house. Claire of course loved
all of the candy to decorate it!
Claire did a great job putting the house together and hardly needed
any help.
Once she built the house, she had G-Ma help her decorate it.
They did a great job and had a good time being creative.

I think Claire's favorite part was getting to eat her finished product!

Glue and salt painting

After looking for some fun ideas on Pinterest, we came up with glue and salt painting.
Claire and G-Ma had a fun time watching the watercolors "run" on the
glue and salt pictures

 Ta-dah...the finished product!
