MN trip with friends #3

We got to celebrate Mom's birthday (a little late). Claire gave her a "things I love about you Grandma" book!

Making smores went over very well, and they tasted so good too!

We spent some time at Mom's farm house exploring and showing our friends where I grew up. The girls loved to stand in the corn!

So much time was spent on the water...the jet ski got in many hours on our trip!

We got Jeff's dad and step mom out to the lake this year and went for a nice pontoon ride!

Then we got to spend an evening with our great friends from MN, laughing and pontooning!

 

Tubing with the Moore family

Yesterday we spent the afternoon on Lake Conroe with the Moore family. Lots and lots and lots of time was spent tubing!

Jackson and Claire enjoyed tubing together.

I was able to get a little waterskiing in while the kids rested from tubing for hours on end!

Then Claire went waterskiing...

and so did Jeff!

Floating the Comal River

We got to enjoy this past Thursday with the Fink family floating the Comal River in New Braunfels. It was so much fun and a great way to enjoy being outside without getting too hot!

After a 5 hour float down the river, we went for a late lunch at Gristmill in Gruene, TX. It was delicious!

The famous Gruene Dance Hall...didn't go inside but got a picture on the outside.

 

Mother/daughter day!

It isn't often that I can get Claire to dress up and spend the afternoon with me. Last Saturday, she allowed me to take her to a play and out to dinner. We had such a fun time and loved every moment of our time together! I pray she will continue to stay close to me as we journey through high school!
