Minnesota 2011

Our trip to Minnesota was so much fun this year. Claire did awesome on the airplane ride and was kind enough to wait until we got to the baggage claim to have her first tantrum. Jeff and I just watched her flail around on the ground with a smirk on our faces; finding it funny to look around and see other people smirking as well. Our first stop was to see Grandma Jones in Rochester. She kept us busy with cleaning out her rain gutters and going to Mr Pizza. We also made a stop at the cemetary to see Nanny Nadine and put new flowers by the marker.
Next we headed to the lake and spent most of our vacation at the cabin. Brandon, Annie, Harvey, and Henry were with us for the first five days. Grandma and Grandpa Hlavka took us to "The Amazin' Farm" in Eden Valley which everyone loved. We went to the Mall of America and spent many hours going on rides with Scott, Shannon, Owen, and Ellie. Claire loved the "Swiper, no swiping" ride the best. We were able to go visit Brandon and family one more time when we met them at the Maple Tavern for dinner. Grandma and Grandpa Naustdal took us to the MN Zoo for the day. Claire loved the water shooting out of the ground and we spent lots of time playing there. We also got to see Great Grandpa Naustdal for a short time.
We kept super busy every single day. We spent the days at the lake feeding fish crackers in the morning, swimming in the cold lake (cold for us at least!), jet skiing (Claire went for her first jet ski ride this year and liked it), pontooning, and of course visiting and eating with family and friends.
We have so many wonderful memories from this vacation. Thank you to everyone who was able to take time out of their busy schedule to come and visit with us. We love you all and can't wait for next year to come so we can return!
