Park #5- we are very thankful we did the Disney parks first because by the time we arrived at Islands of Adventure, we didn't have much left in us!
Thankfully, we were able to pull out almost a full day of rides and fun!
Even though we don't know much about Harry Potter, these rides were amazing. The favorite was Hagrid's Motorbike Adventure. Since we stayed at a resort on Universal, we were able to get in one hour before general public and made a dash to this ride first. We only had about a 30 min wait. We liked it so much we decided to go again as single riders so we wouldn't have to wait quite as long as the 150 minute wait by the time we finished the first ride. On our way through the line, we saw Mike Donehey who was the lead singer for the band Tenth Avenue North, a favorite band of both Jeff and I. As we passed him, Jeff stopped and let him know we are big fans of his music and we hope he continues to produce songs. This was a highlight for Jeff for sure!
We also enjoyed The Forbidden Journey ride and went on it twice as well!
Claire's eye lit up when she saw this huge rice krispie bar in the snack shop so we just had to get it. Too bad it didn't taste as good as it looked!
Before we called it a day, we decided it would be a good idea to do Bilge Rat Barges water ride. As we waiting in line, everyone coming off the ride was completely soaked. Thankfully we had parkas that we used to cover our feet to keep our shoes dry. We got extremely soaked on this ride and got to walk back to the hotel dripping wet! At least we can say we went on the ride I guess!
We had an amazing week in Florida...God blessed us with wonderful weather, great family time, and terrific memories! So thankful we got to spend this week together!
