Grandma, Claire, and Shannon flew to Brandon's house in Naples, Florida and Jeff and I drove. It was a long adventure that started with us making it 2 hours in when Jeff realized he forgot his wallet at home. We turned around, slept til midnight, then made the drive in one day and got to Brandon's house Saturday evening.
Ellie surprised Claire when she arrived at the airport! The girls went shopping on Saturday and found some clothes.
Then they went to the golf course and played some bocce ball and that afternoon, Grandma taught the kids some line dances!
Sunday we went to church outside...
and then for lunch at Tin City.
We played lots of games in the evenings including the horse game and 7-up.
We also spent lots of time in the backyard by the pool.
The kids played a game where they had to be blindfolded and use spatulas to try to collect dollar bills. The best part was Brandon placed a $100 bill in the mix so the kids were trying hard to get that one. Once they began, we removed the $100 bill and only placed it back just before they removed their blindfolds. We did this for three rounds. Surprisingly, none of the kids realized the trick until the next day when they realized they had been played!
More pool time!
On to part 2 of spring break....
