TBarM camp 2024

Claire had a blast at TBarM camp this past week! Unfortunately, on Wednesday evening she began to have issues with her eyes and by Thursday morning was unable to open her left one due to the pain. She ended up in the camp nurse's office most of the day on Thursday with cold compresses and flushing of her eyes. Friday she found a little bit of relief and decided to stay to finish out camp, even though she wasn't able to participate in most of the activities due to not being able to see well. I am so thankful that God is healing her eyes and giving her the courage and desire to stay at camp. Prior to Thursday, it sure looks like Claire had a blast doing all the camp activities! I can't wait to get my girl tomorrow and hear all about what God has done in her life this week! Thank you to everyone who has been praying for Claire's healing and strength!
Claire and her friends were in South Bay cabin this year with two wonderful counselors!
The foursome camp group below: Claire, Caroline, Annalee, and Abigail!

I am sure the pool was a wonderful break from the heat as the temps have been in the high 90's all week with lots of wonderful Texas humidity!

Not quite sure what the activity below is called, but Claire sure seems to be enjoying it! I feel like I can hear her screaming from here!

A fun day on the lake! Claire and Abigail look to be having the time of their life on the tube!

This looks to be a large slip and slide kind of activity below....all I know is the girls seem to be having a blast on it!

This year the camp offered the Dual Dash...two people are tied together and go through an obstacle course. The colors were green and purple. This was the only activity of the course that I found pictures of Claire and Abigail doing, but from the looks of the picture above, they worked pretty hard!
One of the nights was super hero themed so the girls coordinated t-shirts to represent!

More friend time! I can't wait to get to my baby girl and give her a huge hug for giving her all and sticking it out when it was tough! I am so proud of her strength and ability to grow from challenging times! God has amazing plans for her and I know He used this eye issue to work on her in other areas. Good will come out of the struggle, I have no doubt!

Update since above post: Claire was able to tough through the eye issues and by evening Friday, she was able to open both eyes and participate in Alpha/Omega night! Praise God for healing!

The girls outside their cabin...Southbay.
Claire got the bottom bunk that is behind her. Nothing fancy about these non-air conditioned cabins but according to Claire..."that is what true camp is all about"!
Claire and her counselors for the week...Bianca and Maggie! Two wonderful young women who poured their love of Jesus into our daughter this week!
Pick up day!!! I will cherish the tight, long lasting hugs forever!

Claire's post on Instagram today! So thankful that God pulled her through the struggle and she was able to come out of it stronger and still enjoying all that camp had to offer! She is a fighter and had God at her side through it all!
